It’s that wonderful time of year again when Pantone releases its
Color of the Year 2018 = Ultra Violet.
I’m always so intrigued to read the ‘why’ behind the selection – if you’re interested click HERE. This year’s color holds a lot of power and energy and hopefully will represent some positive forward motion in the New Year – fingers crossed.

This year’s little ornament production was so much fun and it makes me smile knowing that my creations will be hanging on trees across the country and world. I think I ended up making about 60 this year, below are some of my favorites.

Happy Holidays my friends! (yup- there’s no denying it)
If you follow my instagram you know that last weekend was Christmas for me as a Christmas tree designer for the Boys and Girls Club annual Festival of Trees fundraiser. It was SO much fun – once I got my head in the Christmas mode! There is nothing more like Disneyland to me than walking around the stacks and shelves and boxes of ornaments, garlands, trims, ribbons, flowers, glittery coated things, etc…. and putting them together to create a themed tree! Total bliss! I ended up with 4x created – all very different from each other and fun. Last year I heard my Mele Kalikimaka palm tree went for the highest bid so I’m hoping for another win this year. No matter what the outcome I am so happy to support such an amazing group as the Boys and Girls Club!
The color palette below is a picture from my “Rose Gold Wonderland” tree – the colors were insane! If only I spent as much time on my own tree!
