Chris Nikic did not walk until he was 4 years old, but this past November he became an Ironman.  The 21-year-old and his father developed the ‘1% better challenge’ to improve a bit each day and help others do the same.  In May, Nikic completed a half Ironman, his next goal was the big one.  Persevering despite a fall from his bike and an ant attack, Nikic finished the 140.6 mile race in 16 hours 46 minutes-9 seconds, becoming the first person with Down Syndrome to complete an Ironman triathlon.
