I travel by this little patch of Cat Tails everyday on my walk with my dog. I love them and right now they are exceptionally full and pretty. I remember when I was little my Mom taking me to a creek in my hometown where we’d pick them by the masses and bring them home where she’d make tall and exotic flower arrangements. These pieces of natural artwork would stay in our home for months, drying out slowly giving us a long time to enjoy their unique beauty. To me Cat Tails have a magical quality. I love how they feel furry and soft to the touch, and how striking they look when they grow wild. I think most people look at Cat Tails as a shrub or possibly even a weed, but I was raised to look at them the same way I view roses. I like that way of thinking.
Wishing you a beautiful day!
